Sticky sweet honey glazed salmon stuffed with real crab meat is so satisfying and comes together in less than 20 minutes.
This is a great way to amp up your weeknight meal but stuffing the salmon with crab. Salmon is delicious and nutritious and stuffing it with an easy to make crab stuffing using real crab meat tossed in light mayo, chopped celery and old bay seasoning really fill every bite and packs a flavor.
What type of crab meat should I use for this recipe?
We used real claw meat from our local fish monger, it just happened to be on sale and a great deal. You can also use lump meat which is inexpensive and has a mild flavor.
This recipe is a real treat for any seafood lover! The fresh salmon fillet filled with crab meat combined with the sticky garlicky honey glaze makes for a light dinner that is very flavourful. Serve this dish with a light salad or roasted fingerling potatoes like we did!

Ingredients
1lbssalmoncut into fillets
½tbspsmoked paprika
½tbspcayenne pepper
4ozcrab meatlump crab or claw meat
2tbsplight mayo
1celery ribwashed and cut into small pieces
Salt & pepper
2tbspold bay seasoning
Honey glaze
3tbspbutter
6clovesof garlic finely grated into a paste
½cuphoney
Juice from 1 lime
3tbspsoy sauce
1tbspsriracha
Instructions
1. Using a sharp knife, create an insert along the side of the salmon fillet creating a pocket. Do not cut all the way through.
2. Pat salmon dry and season with paprika and cayenne pepper
3. Mix the crab meat with mayo, celery and old bay seasoning and salt & pepper
4. Stuff fillet with the crab filling, dividing it evenly between each fillet -about 2 tbsp per fillet
5. Heat an oven proof cast iron pan over medium heat.
6. Melt the butter, soy sauce, honey, grated garlic, lime juice and sriracha whisking constantly. Bring the sauce to a boil and cook for 2 minutes. Once the sauce starts to thicken a bit, add the salmon fillets to the pan.
7. Cook the salmon for 3 minutes into the sauce constantly basting the sauce over the fillet.
8. Set oven to broil high and place the salmon into the oven. Broil salmon on high for 5-6 minutes until the salmon is caramelized.
9. To serve spoon the glaze over the salmon and serve with your favorite side dish.
