About Us

Gourmet pizza made right at home. This pizza is perfect for any week night dinner or date night and can even double as an appetizer for when you entertain guests. Crisp honey pears, thyme, caramelized red wine onions, creamy Gruyere cheese topped with peppery arugula, salty prosciutto and a drizzle of honey.

Pizza night just keeps getting better and better at our house. This week we wanted to try to make a gourmet pizza and incorporate some seasonal ingredients like fresh pears, prosciutto, Gruyere cheese and arugula.  This could even work with fresh figs when they are in season. As we get older, I find myself searching for more unique flavors and test my palette.

We love to provide you guys with quick and easy recipes anyone can make and sometimes you just don’t have time to make your own pizza dough so if buying store bought dough is your thing than keep reading because we also went with store bought dough and there is nothing wrong with that!

There is no sauce on this pizza, you really don’t need it, and the toppings have so much flavor that the sauce really isn’t necessary.

What really makes the pizza are the caramelized red wine onions. The flavor pairs perfectly with roasted pears, honey and gruyere cheese. I would say this is more of a grown up pizza so if you have kids don’t worry you can still make this pizza just skip the red wine and stick to your classic caramelized onions or balsamic onions and your pizza will turn out just as delicious. Making homemade pizza with the kids is a great way to get everyone excited about cooking and eating the food you make so don’t skip over this recipe because of the red wine.
