Hard Peach Lemonade made with real peach puree and tea infused lemonade mixed together with vodka for a refreshing summer cocktail. Fresh peaches pureed then mixed together with steeped tea and hand-squeezed lemon juice all finished with a little bit of vodka. This drink requires just 10 minutes to make and only four ingredients- doesn’t get easier!
Hot summer days need cooling down with a super tasty, fresh drink. It’s even better when it’s completely made from scratch and can be done made-to-order with just a few simple ingredients that will leave you with the best tasting hard lemonade. Serve this up HARD- for adults and as a peach tea lemonade for the kiddos. The way the recipe is designed, tea is steeped until ready and mixed with hand juiced lemons for that gets combined with the tea for a tea infused lemonade blend with the added touch of the peach puree to give it that fresh peachy flavour. From there the mix can be chilled until ready to serve.
This recipe was inspired by our Peach Refresher! We used the same tea infused lemonade and peach puree base to make a tasty creamy non-alcoholic beverage that’s topped with creamy coconut milk. We loved it so much we thought it would make a great cocktail. Sorta like those twisted tea and hard lemonade drinks but with a TCF twist!
It starts by boiling the peaches just for a few seconds and then placing them in an ice bath. This helps loosen up the skin so that it’s much easier to peel and also helps for pureeing the peaches. Once the peach puree is made, all that’s left to do is make some black tea and squeeze some lemons. We steep the tea directly into a large pitcher so that we don’t have to transfer and dirty too many dishes. Once the tea is ready, add the lemon juice. There’s no need to add more water the tea acts as that for the lemonade. Stir it all up to combine and add the peach puree. If you feel like it needs more sweetener, add it here. It can also be added to the shaker tin when mixing up the cocktails.
Pour the peach tea lemonade into a shaker tin and add the vodka. For more peachy flavour, muddle some peaches. Shake it all up with some ice and pour it into a glass filled with new ice and garnished with peach slices around the edge. We like to shake it so that the vodka is nicely distributed but you can simply stir it all directly in a glass if you want to avoid some extra steps.
