About Us

Beautiful ruby red blood orange Paloma’s feature freshly squeezed blood oranges combined with lime juice, tequila, sweetener, and topped off with sparkling water. Rimmed with a zesty, salty and spicy edge, this cocktail is easy to make and perfect for entertaining during the holidays.

Making use of the limited availability of winter citrus in December there’s nothing like a refreshing Paloma. Cousin to the margarita, this cocktail is usually made with grapefruit juice instead of lime juice. When blood oranges hit the produce aisle, we know just what to make. By changing up the citrus we’re able to create this seasonal cocktail.

A Paloma is always a good idea! Prepared just in time for the holidays its vibrant colours make for a show stopping party drink. This drink is really simple to make. It can easily be put together for a self serve station and made in large quantities for which we’ve provided in the recipe details.

This holiday season is looking a little different than normal. That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your favourite holiday feast with a specialty cocktail. Whether you’re able to host a small group, sticking to household members only, or having an intimate night. Glam up this season’s feature cocktail with these beautiful blood orange Palomas. Making a fun cocktail always brightens the mood and brings everyone closer.

To make these Palomas, you just need a few simple tools. They can be made in a cocktail shaker or a tall glass which you’ll use to serve the drink, a bar spoon or something similar to stir, a citrus press or hand juicer, and ice of course.

TIPS FOR MAKING AHEAD

  • Squeeze the juices (blood orange + lime) 1 day ahead or the morning of to keep it as fresh as possible.
  • Garnish can be prepped and stored in the fridge until ready to assemble. Whether you’re serving with sugared cranberries, sprigs of rosemary, sliced citrus. Have everything sliced, sugared and picked beforehand.
  • Prepare the rimmer, cover with plastic wrap and leave out.
  • Set up a self-serve station with glassware, sparkling water or soda, and straws. This way you can account for the right amount of drinks for the number of guests.
  • And lastly, ice! it’s never good to run out so be sure to have enough.
