DIRTY CHAI BREAKFAST BOWL

Warm, cozy and comforting dirty chai oatmeal breakfast bowl packed with your favorite fall flavors so healthy and nourishing, full of antioxidants. It’s gluten-free, dairy free, and paleo friendly made with only a few ingredients and ready in 10 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups quick oats
  • 1 cup coconut milk unsweetened
  • 1 scoops vanilla protein powder
  • Brewed espresso or 1/3 cup brewed coffee
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cardamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper
  • Pinch of salt
  • Toppings
  • Slivered almonds
  • Sliced bananas
  • Blueberries
  • Cherries
  • Dark chocolate shavings
  • Coconut flakes unsweetened
  • Nut butter
  • Greek yogurt
  • Cacao nibs

Instructions

  • 1. First mix all the spices together in a bowl for your chai mix
  • 2. Add quick oats and coconut milk to a stove pot and cook over medium heat. Pour half the brewed espresso into the pot and continue to stir the oats making sure they don’t stick to the bottom of the pot and burn. Next add your chai mix spices, maple syrup and protein powder, continue to stir until oats are cooked and the flavors have been started to set in (about 3 minutes)
  • 3. Portion your oats accordingly per serving size into a bowl. Pour the remaining brewed espresso over the mixture (you only need a small amount to help moisten the oats.
  • 4. Top with your favorite breakfast bowl toppings.
