Hard Peach Lemonade

Hard Peach Lemonade made with homemade peach puree, black tea infused with freshly squeeze lemon juice all shaken with some vodka for a refreshing summer cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 4 peaches
  • 2 1/2 oz maple syrup
  • 3 black tea bags
  • 1/2 cup lemon juiced
  • Vodka
  • ice
  • boiling water
  • garnish: thinly sliced peaches fresh herb bouquets or flowers

Instructions

  • 1. Boil water and add peaches. Boil for 45 seconds and remove to an ice bath. Let cool. Peel off skins.
  • 2. For the peach puree: cut peaches and remove the pit, add to a blender with the maple syrup. Blend until smooth.
  • 3. To make the black tea lemonade mix: steep tea into 4 cups of boiling water. Let sit for 5 minutes until the tea is ready- remove bags. Add steeped tea to a large pitcher, juice the lemons and add to the pitcher with the peach puree. Stir and chill until ready to serve.
  • 4. To make drink: To a shaker tin add 5 oz of the peach tea lemonade, 1-2oz of vodka depending on preference, fill with ice and shake for 20 seconds. Fill beverage glass with ice, place thinly cut peach slices around the edge of the glass in between the ice cubes. (3-4 depending on size of glass) Strain and pour the shaker contents into the glass. garnish with extra peaches and herbs. Enjoy!

Notes

*For sweeter drinks, add sweetener of choice to the shaker tin when preparing each cocktail.
