pear and sage spritz

Combine freshly muddled pears with the floral hints of gin and st germain liquor paired with a homemade sage infused honey syrup and top it off with a splash of soda water for a light and refreshing spritz.

Ingredients

  • per single cocktail
  • 1 1/2 oz. Gin
  • 1 oz St Germain liquor
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 1 oz sage honey syrup
  • 2 oz soda water
  • cubed pear pieces to muddle
  • pear slice and sage leaves for garnish
  • honey sage syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 8 sage leaves

Instructions

  • 1. To make the syrup: in a medium saucepan, bring to a slow boil water and honey. When boiling reduce to simmer and add sage. Let simmer 10 minutes. Transfer to a glass jar to cool.
  • 2. In a cocktail shaker, muddle a handful of pear cubes. Add gin, st germain, lemon juice, syrup and ice. Shake for 15 seconds.
  • 3. Add ice to fill your glass. Strain cocktail into glass, top with soda and garnish with pear and sage.
